Compassionate Communication Skills for Further and Higher Education

Course Description

This course draws on our experience of delivering the CC-FE/HE programme to over 1000 students, with evidence demonstrating that the approach improves inclusivity, develops a more compassionate approach to group work, and enables students to become more reflective about their own communication style.

During this training course, you will cover the following: 

·       Understanding compassion and how this might apply in FE and HE settings

·       Exploring ways to enhance inclusivity and reduce the impact of cliques

·       Exploring helpful and unhelpful group behaviours

·       Using video examples to explore unhelpful group behaviours

·       Consider the impact of non-verbal communication

·       Learn about techniques to address unhelpful communicative behaviours
