Detailed Description
At this workshop, the three co-authors of the Career Development Handbook will open up the new textbook, discuss its key features and explore how it can be used in training, teaching, professional development and supervision. Following an overview of the book and a taste of the content there will be a chance to discuss the professional issues it raises.
The day is aimed at experienced practitioners, lecturers and educators involved in training career development professionals, managers and supervisors, and experienced practitioners looking to take the next steps in their career to work at more strategic levels.
By the end of the day, you will
· Understand the resources offered by the Handbook for Career Development Professionals.
· Identify how the book can be used in training and supporting Career Development Professionals in a range of different contexts, including initial training programmes, organisational settings and in CPD activities. Have considered how the resource can be used in training and supporting CDPs in level 6 and 7 programmes, in organisational contexts and in CPD activities
· Have reflected on your own practice as an advanced practitioners
· You will also have your own copy of the book to take away.
